Staff member Brooke spent 5 days on board Scenic’s 5-star luxurious Scenic Spirit.
Day 1: Arrival into Ho Chi Minh City – Accommodation was the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside, it had an awesome rooftop pool overlooking the river. We had the executive benefits rooms where all day refreshments were served and cocktails/canapes from 6 – 8pm.
Day 2: Chu Chi Tunnels. Had a great time exploring the here, walking and crawling through the different tunnels.
Day 3: 2 hour transfer to our luxury 5-star ship. This ship includes luxury balcony suites with all-inclusive food and beverages 24/7.
That night we sat on the top deck and watched the sunset as we set sail for Sa Dec.
Day 4: Sa Dec > Border
This morning we boarded a sampan sailing up the canal to explore the historic town of Sa Dec.
That evening we sailed towards Cambodia, crossing the border just before sunset.
We then enjoyed a themed home-style dinner to say farewell to Vietnam.
Day 5: Phnom Penh > Kampong Cham
Arrive early this morning into the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh.
Today we took a Tuk Tuk to explore Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings and the Central Market.
We spent the day and night exploring Phnom Penh via Tuk Tuk – visiting different colonial buildings and markets.
Day 6 – Prek K’dam > Siem Reap
This morning we left the ship and drove to Siem Reap where we checked into the Park Hyatt. This hotel was located within walking distance to the markets and the lively Pub Street.
That night we were wowed by a Scenic Exclusive magical themed gala dinner at Kravan Temple, with included free flow drinks and a show featuring Apsara dancers in front of candle lit temple ruins. A truly memorable end to your journey.
Day 7 – Siem Reap
This morning we witnessed the magnificent sunrise over Angkor Wat before moving to a special location for a champagne breakfast. We then stayed two nights at the Hari Residence & Spa, Siem Reap before departing back to Perth.
Definitely on my bucket list!
