Today I go out of my comfort zone and travel to Argentina and Chile on a Quark Expeditions adventure never been done before! Exploring new territory for Quark and myself!
Nearly 5 years in the making of “Essential Patagonia” Carefully calculated decisions made by the best in the expedition business to successfully execute this inaugural voyage. In the most inhabited place of the world.
Expedition at its best! We worked out we had 1 Expedition Guide to 6 guests while onboard! Which means you always have an expert right next to you on your Adventure.
15 epic days. We sailed around the notorious Cape Horn with 50 knot winds and 5 metre waves and celebrated this exciting milestone in true mariner style. Navigating through the narrow Kirke Pass and White Pass with the assistance of our latest technology (WASSP) and sonar were exciting highlights and firsts for Quark Expeditions along with sailing through many unchartered waters to #gobeyond
Sea kayaking was a highlight kayaking with Penguins, whales and Sealions will be something I will never forget.
2 days on land exploring Torres Del Paine National Park and a day spent at the most stunning estancia were unforgettable experiences. Not to mention, not one but two helicopter flight seeing experiences over possibly the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, glaciers and waterfalls!
Rain, snow, wind, waves, pink sunsets, rainbows, full moons – we really had it all! We glided through the Chilean Fjords on our game changing vessel #ultramarine and explored Patagonia by land , air and sea. Whales, dolphins, fur seal, elephant seals, pumas, penguins, Patagonian foxes, alpacas, flamingos, albatross and a plethora of other bird life, we were absolutely spoilt!
This trip would not have been possible without the legendary Mauricio, and Quarks very own captain, captain Will!! Best in the business!
This trip changed me, now wanting more adventure from my travels.
